The TFR Archive is a group of artists, curators, art historians and researchers who look after the artistic estate and legacy of Teresa Feodorovna Ries. An important aspect is the processing and telling of the story about the Jewish artist TFR. Important aspects of our work are solidarity and care.
The basis of the artistic works is the private archive of Teresa Feodorowna Ries, which was auctioned at an auction house in 2018 and was acquired by Valerie Habsburg.
It includes her original handwritten will, lists of works, letters, cards, her diary and photographs. Based on the findings and the correct writing of the history and the artist's last will, which is now possible for the first time, a restitution process was also begun. Teresa F. Ries is an important Jewish artist who has been forgotten (made) and whose work and history are becoming visible.
